When Covid-19 struck the world in 2020, we were all sent into fear, anxiety, mistrust, and the unknown struck us in a way many have never experienced before. Yet, there was also an awakening of something beyond our "small" selves simultaneously. A cry out, if you will, from Mother Nature herself. We were treading new territory, life as we knew it stopped, and we did not know what was next.
The unknown can lend quite easily to fear. It can also lend to Joy. It offers a fresh start, a new way of looking at the world, an opportunity to reevaluate our morals and values, and an opportunity for personal evolution.
This idea of change, the potential for good, and the realization that we all can make a difference is the essence of this Journal, the accompanying 28 days of Joy Journey, and the supportive network with which the Joy project was born.
It takes 21 days to form a habit. One habit I would like to instill upon people everywhere is the practice of presence, the power of the breath, and the nature of the true Self.
